Český Krumlov, Czech Republic Day 17

8:20am Woke up and had an early breakfast.  Lauren's phone died last night so the plan was to visit Real Market at Machtlfinger Straße to get a new phone.  Real Market is something like a Kmart of sorts.  We checked out at 10:15 or so then caught the train to Marienplatz and then a connecting train to Machtlfinger Straße.

Currywurst

11am Bought the phone then headed back to the hotel to pick up our luggage and wait for the driver who would be driving us to Český Krumlov.  We stopped at Burger King on the way where I bought a chilli burger which was really jalapeno peppers with cheese, two beef patties and bread.  Lauren bought a currywurst from the shop that had the sauce udders.  I didn't take a picture of my food and by the time I took Lauren's it was almost finished.  Also we thought we would have our food as takeaway and eat at the hotel but when we got there the driver was already there so... we left shortly after and I ate in the car the whole way.

3pm Arrived at our destination, dropped our things then walked to the centre of town which is only 5 minutes away.  Have a feeling we're the only ones staying in the hotel!  Stopped by for a drink and then proceeded to walk to the castle.  The castle itself was closed but we walked through its grounds including its garden.

Cesky Krumlov is a small town well known for his architecture, art and its castle.

The castle gardens are pretty too.

Rays of light breaking through the skies

Close to 6pm  Started walking back down from the gardens.  We saw a film crew shooting what is apparently a scene off a bollywood film?  Anyway we saw the same crew coming up but they had moved to a different area.  We stayed behind and I took some photos and video.  Unfortunately Bipasha Basu was not there which would surely disappoint at least one reader of this blog.

Food time...

Their clothes were just a little revealing

Hot air balloon!

7pm We had dinner at Restaurace Barbora.  I had the chicken with mushroom sauce, side of potatoes and the truffito for dessert.  Lauren had the hunting goulash with bread dumplings and honey tvaroh s medium (cottage cheese ice cream topped with honey and almonds in a ceramic jug)

Took more photos on the way back.

Chinese food is available here too

6 pack of 2 litre booze

Today's walk count is 10941 steps.  For once I'm posting before 12 midnight!  Yes!!  Maybe I'll be able to get a decent night's sleep tonight.
