Hamburg, Germany Day 25 - Kanalfahrt, St. Pauli, Landungsbrücken

10am Had breakfast, then walked to Rathaus.  Wanted to catch the walking tour but we were a bit late so we missed that.  Instead we caught the Alster Boat Cruise and went along the Canal through various parks and waterways.  Hamburg is quite a pretty city.

Rathaus aka City Hall

Where you catch the boat!

Spotted this on a menu in a restaurant close to the pier.

Expensive houses like along this stretch.  No one ever sells here and if you buy, be prepared to pay millions of Euros.

A large park near Fährdamm

Back to the pier after 2 hours.

2:45pm Had lunch and then walked a lot.  Today was on mostly walking.  I'll put more photos up later, Internet is way too slow and I need to get up in less than 3 hours for a flight later to Bergen.

Updated I'm now in Bergen, Norway and have faster internet now so am updating this with more photos!

Lunch!  6 huge oysters

Lauren the better half had squid with mediterranean vegetables

I had grilled prawns

After lunch we took a walk to the St. Pauli area.  Apparently famous for its red light district.

Pizza and naked people, what else do you need?  Taken along Reeperbahn

The next couple of photos are taken along the Landungsbrücken area.  Piers, restaurants, and great views.

Strange looking building they are building

One of the many canals in Hamburg

7ish pm After hours of walking we finally had dinner at a place called "Prego" which is located in the town area.

I had grilled prawns with garlic

Our mains came with salad

Prawns with mushrooms and gorgonzola sauce

Step count today was 20000+ steps.  And my legs don't even feel tired.
