Tallinn, Estonia, Day 2 (End of the World Day) - Old Town, Christmas Market

11am Had breakfast at home, omelette and tomatoes.  Didn't leave till 2:30pm, had a slow start to the day.  First stop of the day was the Fat Margaret defense tower.  Going through the arches brings you to the Old Town of Tallinn.

St Olaf's church in the distance, it used to be the tallest church in Mediaeval Europe in the 1500s.  It was named after King Olaf II of Norway.  Not my landlord, who is also named Olaf.

Just on the other side of the arch.  The entrance to the estonian maritime museum is just on the right, see the blue flag?

At about 3:45pm we stopped at a tavern of sorts located at the corner of Tallinn Town Hall.  Kolmas Draakon, or the third dragon.  We ordered elk soup, carrot pie, cabbage pie, elk pie, wild boar pie and apple pies.  The pies were 1 euro each, and the soup was 2 euros.

The food was pretty good and insanely cheap too.  At 4:45pm we left through the back door and resumed walking.

4:58pm Walked home, but not before stopping at Rimi to get some food for dinner.  Dinner was chicken, buckwheat and salad.  Considering it was the last day to the end of the world, I have to say today was quite the anti apocalyptic ending.  We also watched "Moonrise Kingdom" before heading to sleep.
